From fast to trusted: scaling EveryMatrix for the next stage of growth

Interview

Rapid growth creates opportunity, but it also brings a new set of challenges.

Speaking to G3, EveryMatrix Co-CEO Jonas Groes discussed what it takes to scale a fast-growing technology business without losing the speed, entrepreneurial mindset and customer focus that helped build it in the first place.

The conversation explores EveryMatrix’s ambition to become a top-three global technology supplier by 2030, the importance of turning major client relationships into long-term strategic partnerships and how greater structure and accountability can support the company’s next stage of expansion.

Scaling without losing momentum

EveryMatrix has grown rapidly in recent years, expanding its global footprint, product offering and relationships with some of the industry’s largest operators.

For Jonas, the next challenge is ensuring the organisation can continue that trajectory at an even greater scale.

Growth and scaling are not quite the same thing. Growth can mean adding more customers, people and revenue. Scaling requires creating the structures and processes that allow a business to handle that increased complexity while continuing to deliver consistently.

That means introducing greater clarity around decision-making, responsibilities and priorities without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

The aim is to preserve the speed that has helped EveryMatrix succeed while giving teams the framework they need to make better decisions as the organisation becomes larger and more complex.

From supplier to strategic partner

A major part of that next phase is how EveryMatrix works with its largest customers.

As the company signs more tier-1 operators and lotteries, client relationships become broader and more strategic. The focus increasingly moves beyond delivering individual products towards understanding an operator’s wider business and identifying where EveryMatrix can create value over the long term.

That requires closer communication, clearer accountability and a deeper understanding of the priorities of each customer.

For Jonas, becoming a leading tier-1 supplier is therefore not simply about the size of the business.

It is about becoming a partner that the world’s largest operators can trust with increasingly important parts of their technology stack.

Building towards 2030

EveryMatrix has set a clear ambition to become a top-three global technology provider by 2030.

Achieving that will require continued organic growth, but Jonas also sees a role for acquisitions where they can strengthen the company’s technology, capabilities or market position.

The same principle applies to emerging technologies such as AI. The opportunity is significant, both in improving internal efficiency and developing better products and services, but adoption needs to create measurable value rather than simply following industry trends.

Whatever the route to growth, the priority remains the same: building an organisation capable of supporting more large-scale customers while maintaining high standards of product and service.

Accountability at scale

As a company grows, knowing who owns a decision becomes increasingly important.

Greater accountability can help teams move faster rather than slowing them down, giving people the confidence to make decisions while ensuring there is clarity around responsibilities and outcomes.

That balance between entrepreneurial speed and organisational discipline is central to the next phase of EveryMatrix’s development.

The business has already demonstrated that it can grow quickly. The challenge now is to make that growth increasingly repeatable, scalable and sustainable.

For Jonas, that is ultimately what the journey from fast to trusted is about: keeping the energy and ambition that drove EveryMatrix forward while building the structure needed to become one of the industry’s leading global technology partners.
