2021 in Review

There goes another intense and exciting year, and what a journey it’s been! We want to thank our partners, clients, employees, and industry connections for the hard work, business, and projects you were involved in throughout 2021. Without you, we wouldn’t be here, speaking about everything we achieved and how the past year exceeded our expectations, as the company experienced tremendously accelerated development and growth.

Let’s take a look at the biggest milestones of 2021 before we press the hit the road and seize 2022:

1) BREAKING TURNOVER RECORDS

Our sportsbook solution, OddsMatrix, reached significant milestones this year, breaking Sportsbook turnover records every quarter. In Q4 of 2021, it surpassed a monthly average of EUR 100 million total placed bets, which is almost double compared to Q4 2020.

The final quarter of this year also saw a massive increase in bettor engagement with FIFA and NBA 2K sports simulations and Basketball.

2) EXPANSION IN THE U.S.

One of the biggest goals of 2021 was to increase our reach in the thriving U.S. iGaming market. We opened the first U.S. based office in Miami, Florida, led by the industry veteran Erik Nyman. The new U.S. commercial hub was pivotal in establishing new business relations, advancing the licensing in several states, and building the company’s reputation in the region.

This year, we finally opened a new gaming development company in Miami, Armadillo Studios, with the aim of producing localized and high-quality content specially built for the American market.

We also joined the iDevelopment and Economic Association (iDEA) network of members in March, a non-profit association seeking to grow jobs and expand the online interactive entertainment business in the U.S. through advocacy and education.

After joining the World Lottery Association in July, we appointed Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) to conduct audits of our technology platforms and operations against the WLA-SCS:2020 standard.
