2021 in Review

There goes another intense and exciting year, and what a journey it’s been! We want to thank our partners, clients, employees, and industry connections for the hard work, business, and projects you were involved in throughout 2021. Without you, we wouldn’t be here, speaking about everything we achieved and how the past year exceeded our expectations, as the company experienced tremendously accelerated development and growth.

Let’s take a look at the biggest milestones of 2021 before we press the hit the road and seize 2022:

Our sportsbook solution, OddsMatrix, reached significant milestones this year, breaking Sportsbook turnover records every quarter. In Q4 of 2021, it surpassed a monthly average of EUR 100 million total placed bets, which is almost double compared to Q4 2020.

The final quarter of this year also saw a massive increase in bettor engagement with FIFA and NBA 2K sports simulations and Basketball.

Gain further insight into EveryMatrix’s performance in the first nine months of the year by reading our latest financial report covering the first three quarters of 2021.

One of the biggest goals of 2021 was to increase our reach in the thriving U.S. iGaming market. We opened the first U.S. based office in Miami, Florida, led by the industry veteran Erik Nyman. The new U.S. commercial hub was pivotal in establishing new business relations, advancing the licensing in several states, and building the company’s reputation in the region.

This year, we finally opened a new gaming development company in Miami, Armadillo Studios, with the aim of producing localized and high-quality content specially built for the American market.

We also joined the iDevelopment and Economic Association (iDEA) network of members in March, a non-profit association seeking to grow jobs and expand the online interactive entertainment business in the U.S. through advocacy and education.

After joining the World Lottery Association in July, we appointed Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) to conduct audits of our technology platforms and operations against the WLA-SCS:2020 standard.

  • In August, EveryMatrix inked a casino content distribution agreement with global gambling operator Kindred Group. Our out-of-the-box remote gaming server also welcomed the iGaming production studio, FlipLuck, providing all the tools needed for the company to produce, manage, and distribute high-quality casino games. Besides the aforementioned companies, we also distribute games through Spearhead Studios.

  • This year, we enhanced our OddsMatrix sports betting solution with new implementations, such as BetBuilder, available for various popular sports, with more to come, and a new feature that allows operators to create their own tournaments, events, and odds. We also developed a payout functionality that enables operators to customize payouts to their liking, automatically follow those of relevant competitors, or manually tweak the odds.
  • Our cross-vertical bonus system, BonusEngine, supports the creation of tournaments combining both casino and sports betting and includes new reward triggers.

That’s why, in 2021, we decided to contribute by donating EUR 50,000 to the Foundation Conservation Carpathia (FCC), an organization actively fighting to preserve the Romanian forests and their wildlife.

In 2021, we continued our mission to help the children from Kids Academy by offering them access to online schooling and ensuring those who require special help will receive it.
