Coffee Break with Volodymir Yatsiuk

Coming up next a special edition of Coffee Break with EM with Volodymyr Yatsiuk, Product Manager within CasinoEngine and great human being.

Volodymyr is involved in Pomich Charity Foundation – https://pomich-in-ua.com/en/. Today we get to know more about him, his exciting work and his humanitarian activity.

How did your career in EveryMatrix start? What’s your favorite thing about working here?

I remember an EM recruiter contacted me on the day I was thoroughly burned out on my previous job, so without any doubts, I just said, ‘let’s try’, and suddenly after a few meetings with the HR, the CEO and the tech team I understood that I want to be a member of that squad.

What was your first job?

I moved from my parents early, so I got a chance to try myself as a delivery guy, support in a call center and logistician. Fun experience, trust me. Then, when I was about 21 years old, I started my journey as a QA Engineer in gambling.

What’s one of your biggest work pet peeves?

Beating the wind. A short call with good preparation brings higher effort than a multiple-hours call discussing the problem instead of finding the solution.

Are you an early bird or a night owl? Give us your top productivity piece of advice.

100% a night owl. The mornings are suitable for meetings and emails, but creative tasks suit more for the second half of the day, especially when good music is playing, and the coffee is ready.

What personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?

I think it’s a mix of a few traits, but the most important is passion. I tried quite a few different professions before I became a product manager, and I enjoy doing my job now.

When you are passionate about what you are doing, it stops being just ‘work’ – it becomes a lifestyle.

What would you tell your younger self?

Buy bitcoin and sell it in 2021.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

I would say music (I’m proud of my vinyl collection) and going for a walk with a god. There is a nice animal shelter called “Domivka” in Lviv, where you can take a dog for a walk. It’s a great date idea as well – you’re welcome.

Name one thing everyone should add to their Bucket List.

A good old film camera. Take it with you to a trip or a party, and you will get an amazing experience after the photos are developed.

What would you do if you were gifted a million dollars, no strings attached?

Well, one year ago, I would say Porsche 911 1995, real estate and stocks investments, but now I would go with a Bayraktar.

Share a photo of your favorite pet!

The love of my life, which I will never forget.

What are your most-used emojis?
😭😆👍

Name 3 apps you couldn’t live without.
Spotify, Twitter, Glovo.

And finally, give us an idea for our upcoming Summer Party. Pick a theme!
A charity party where people can donate to the Ukrainian cause would be a great idea.

Since the war started, I and a couple of my friends and family members have funded a charity foundation, “Pomich-in.ua” (“Pomich” means “help” in Ukrainian), to help people affected by the war.

You can read more and find a way to contribute, if you want, on our website: https://pomich-in-ua.com/en/.

Thanks for joining for coffee, Volodymir. You’re an inspiration!
