Product Manager RGS Matrix

Spearhead Studios are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our rapidly growing casino games platform team  in Marbella, Spain. Our company has a gaming platform (RGS Matrix) that is integrated to an ever-expanding external casino sites. We work with our in-house games studios (Spearhead Studios and Armadillo Studios) and also partner with external games studios to distribute their games in multiple jurisdictions, globally. In 2021, we expect to release more than 100 games.


Role and responsibilities:

  • Report to the Head of Business Unit and contribute to the development and maintenance of the platform roadmap, and strategic vision
  • Communicate with customers – partner games studios, operators – to clarify business requirements and to update them on progress
  • Gather requirements, own the product backlogs, and write high-quality user stories for products that cover functionality, defects, and other work items for the team
  • Write product specification documents in clear English, that take into account all business requirements, identify gaps and risks, whilst ensuring the product’s quality
  • Manage dependencies with other teams, negotiating and prioritising as appropriate
  • Conduct backlog grooming sessions
  • Work closely with the commercial and development teams to set development/sprint goals and to get product increments delivered
  • Review development against acceptance criteria to determine readiness
  • Conduct demonstrations of products to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Create business cases for product features
  • Keep up to date with industry trends
  • Conduct competitor analysis and disseminate learnings




  • 3+ years experience managing Web or Software development projects, preferably in a Product Manager role
  • Good understanding of Agile values and principles, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean
  • Strong understanding of the software development cycle
  • General understanding about the web ecosystem
  • Highly organised, able to organise others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with technical and nontechnical audiences including customers, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Good people and team management abilities
  • Good English language skills

Good to have:

  • Previous experience in online casino development
  • A degree or similar education in either a computer science or information technology subject
