EveryMatrix is looking for an awesome Legal Counsel in our Legal department in Sliema, Malta

Legal Counsel

Responsibilities:

  • Draft/review/advise on a wide range of commercial, iGaming and software contracts in accordance with company procedures and applicable laws
  • Managing contract changes, deliverables and associated correspondence and documentation
  • Providing advice on contract risks and issues, implementation and compliance
  • Provide legal and regulatory advice to the Commercial teams during the contract process
  • Dispute and litigation management including liaising with third party advisors
  • Assist with KYC queries
  • Provide effective legal advice and support across all levels of the business on all legal issues affecting EveryMatrix Group, such as intellectual property, industry regulations and employment issues

Requirements:

  • University degree in Master of Advocacy or equivalent University degree in Law
  • 2 years+ experience in the contract management legal field
  • Knowledge of iGaming legal landscapes considered an advantage
  • Fluency in English, including legal English
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
  • High standard of work ethic, always ensuring to complete all assigned tasks accurately
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and able to provide pragmatic solutions against tight time-frames
  • Ability to identify high risk areas and to recommend actions to mitigate such risks
  • Excellent diplomatic and negotiating skills
  • Responsible and able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a flexible, complex and changing business environment
  • Ability to communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including authorities

Work Life Balance:

  • 40% work from home, over any 3-month period (can work one month per quarter abroad)
  • Extra leave days added depending on seniority inside the company – 43 days including public holidays by year 5 of employment
  • 10 sick leave days per year with no doctor’s certificate requirement (excluding legal medical leave)
  • 21 weeks of maternity leave
  • 4 weeks of paternity leave
