Compliance Officer

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to ensure that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules.

Your duties will include reviewing employee work, developing company policies, responding to policy violations and providing advice on compliance.

The ideal candidate will be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. To succeed in this role, you should be a reliable professional who is not afraid to speak their mind and stand by their decisions. You should be familiar with risk management and our industry’s principles.

Your goal will be to ensure we operate in a legal and ethical manner while meeting our business objectives.


  • Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program and ongoing monitoring thereto
  • Responsible for creating/revising internal policies and processes to assist the business in meeting its regulatory responsibilities
  • Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports
  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations
  • Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk
  • Assess company operations to determine compliance risk
  • Communicate and educate the relevant stakeholders on the latest regulatory changes and resultant action
  • Act as a liaison person to the relative Competent Authorities
  • Resolve employee concerns about legal and/or compliance matters


  • Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management or a related field
  • 3 – 5 years’ proven experience in a compliance officer role
  • Previous knowledge of the legal requirements and industry standards within the Payments Industry will be considered an asset
  • PQ’d and approved by the MFSA is an advantage
  • Experience with iGaming regulations is good to have;
  • Experience in completing compliance assessments across various departments within the business
  • Experience with compliance and internal control procedures and frameworks
  • Capacity to write, research and develop processes and procedures
  • Ability to provide advice on compliance matters to stakeholders in a direct and practical manner
  • Availability to travel abroad if needed
  • Fluency in English, including legal English
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
